Lots of studies have found that morning exercises are good to set up the mood for rest of the days. You will have more energy and you will feel like a better person. Exercises are good for patients with depression. Research has also shown that exercise increases brain power. Morning exercise reduces blood pressure. Here are some great morning exercises that you can try every morning:

1 – Cat Camel Stretch

Stretching exercises are good for toning your muscles. It is a good warm up exercise and is good for spinal flexibility. You must knee down in all fours. Round your back just like a camel so that the head tries to meet the pelvis. This is known as the camel position. Then lower your head, lift it so that the lower back is arched. This is called the cat position. Repeat this movement 4 to 5 times.

2 – Go for a walk or a run.

You can either do it outside or on a treadmill. You can vary the length and time according to your fitness level. Have new goals to reach every time. First start with fast walking and then start running. By walking or running in the morning, you can have stronger bones and will be able to maintain body weight. It keeps your heart healthy and lowers your blood pressure.

3 – Jumping Jacks

This is a great exercise for cardiovascular health and also good for toning muscles. First stand with feet together. Then jump while your legs and arms are spread. Then return to the original position. Do this for one minute.

4 – Balancing Table Pose

This is a yoga position. It helps the spine, maintains body balance, improve memory and concentration. Breathe in while in table pose. Raise your legs slowly parallel to the floor and simultaneously raise your arm. Exhale while doing so. Breathe in and lower your arm and leg. Repeat this for the other side. Repeat this 10 times on each side.

5 – Leg Squats

This exercise is not only good for legs, but also for hips and knees. Stand with your feet a little farther out from your hips. Arms should be out in front of you. Lower yourself in a half sitting position, at about a 90 degree angle. Then come back to the original position. Repeat this 15 times.

Exercising in the morning provides physical and mental gratification. It helps you to be energized throughout the day and will feel refreshed.
